“WriteThat.name is such a great idea, but accepting changes is a pain! Right now I rarely ever use it because of the review/acceptance hassle.” – James
When first signing up for WriteThat.name, many users select the Manual Mode to ensure the quality of the updates made to their contacts. After a few short weeks they realize how well it works, and select to have their contacts automatically updated. Some users forget about this feature, and we understand how time consuming it can be to approve each new/updated contact.
For this reason, we have made available our Auto-Update Mode. You can select this in your Preferences under General Settings.
When you select “Auto-update my contacts”, you will still receive an email confirming the updates/additions made. However, you will not have to approve each one. If you need to edit any of the changes, simply click on the “Edit in Gmail” button. You will be taken to the contact and can make any necessary changes.
We hope that this helps you better understand the options you have available with WriteThat.name.
Thank you again for all of your input. We are always looking for new ways to improve our services, your input is greatly appreciated. Keep those comments coming!
