Financière Fonds Privés, financial investment advisors, has brought the best of the private European investors to Kwaga.
Paris, January 12, 2012 – Kwaga, the creator of the semantic platform that analyses emails, announces being completing its Series A round of funding in the total of $1.55 million from private investors (captains of the industry, entrepreneurs, Family Offices, etc.) advised by Financière Fonds Privés. Specializing in new technologies, Internet, environment and luxury goods, Financière Fonds Privés advises its clients, private investors, to finance companies with high potential within the four aforementioned.
Seeing past the extreme comments forecasting an “email doomsday”, the Kwaga team recognizes that email is the essential work tool for millions of users every day around the world and has devised a way to restore its initial function, that of productivity.
The main function of Kwaga is to focus on the semantic analysis of business elements contained in emails in order to offer services that are user-friendly, effective and automatic that simplify the lives of its users. Their flagship service WriteThat.name automatically updates the users’ address book based on the information contained in the messages received. WriteThat.name, a great success with individual users as well as businesses, has updated and added millions of contacts since its launch in May of 2011.
This Series A round of funding will allow Kwaga to:
- accelerate the developments of its WriteThat.name service, currently available for Gmail/GoogleApps users.
- soon adding support of new email clients such as MS Microsoft Outlook, which is currently in beta testing.
- provide integration with major CRM solutions, which is in the final phase of testing.
- accelerate its international deployment by adding new languages to the semantic analysis.
“In the world of email, the margin for improvement directly corresponds with the criticism of its users,” comments Philippe Laval, CEO of Kwaga. “This Series A round of funding not only validates our vision but will also enable us to accelerate the marketing of our new innovative services, strengthening our international presence and providing us with the means to become a global player in this tumultuous market. Lastly, it will allow us to strengthen this marvelous team that has been with me since the start of this adventure.”
Guillaume Deback, General Manager de Financière Fonds Privés, states that, “We customarily say that a good investment is based on the combination of a high potential market and a high quality team. Kwaga is the perfect example. On one hand, email has a great potential for growth in terms of both users and improvements. On the other hand, the Kwaga team is one of the world leaders in the field of semantic search, and Philippe Laval, the CEO, is both an outstanding manager and leader, a rare double-quality.”
